Gloria Vidal Garcia is an Artist and Photographer who lives in San Antonio, Texas. She has a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters in Psychiatric Social Work. She has attended art and photography schools.
Her creativity begins with capturing a image with a digital camera and processing it on high quality photographic, fine art, watercolor archival papers or on canvas. Her images can have a full range of vivid colors, can be black and white or sepia. At times, she will combine assemblage and collage to create an exciting and adventurous piece of art.
Her photographs are of people, landscapes, cityscapes and landmarks of near and far away places to where she has traveled. Her work shows the heart, soul and beauty of humanity and its place in the universe. There is an mystical expression that is unique and endless in artistic vision.
Gloria has stated, "I want to create and take an image to the next level. I want to show, not only what I see, but what I feel. I want the viewer to experience a bonding with the image and to feel an emotion that takes them to a sacred place within themselves......where is fantasy and romance."
She has used her captured images as a frame of reference to create acrylic and mixed media paintings. She has a vivid and distinctive color palette that adds individuality to her work.
Her work has been juried into art competitions and has received several awards. It has been exhibited in galleries, offices, hospitals and restaurants.
